Phenotype Index Lung function: Airway hyper-response as measured by whole body plethysmography. Note: This phenotype has been validated by an invasive resistance evaluation using a flexivent protocol.  See graph below showing 3 animals from this line as well as control C57BL/6J animals.            See previous results here.
Phenotype Description At 9 weeks of age, during the first week consuming the atherogenic diet, this mouse showed a hyper-response to Methacholine (MCH) challenge.

1st run Absolute Penh values were: Confirmatory run Absolute Penh values were:
  • 5 mg/ml = 1.37
  • 10 mg/ml = 2.01
  • 20 mg/ml = 11.47
  • Saline = 0.50MCH:
  • 5 mg/ml = 0.98
  • 10 mg/ml = 1.94
  • 20 mg/ml = 5.29
